Hello everyone, I'm Su from the UK. I've been scribbling notes for stories for decades, I've even written some into full novels, scripts or short stories. Then I put them in the drawer, or the equivalent on a computer and I lose them when the tech dies. Now I hope to come out of the drawer myself and do more with my writing. This sounds like the place, and the right people, to spend some time and soak up the vibes of writers.
I really like reading stories that make me happy, even better if they make me laugh. I also like historical fiction, I feel I'm learning without a heavy history book, and some spooky stories so long as they don't really scare me. Our house is a bit haunted and so real life is enough for me.
I feel overwhelmed with so much to read on here, that's my excuse for taking around a month to introduce myself. I have been watching the pop up submissions every week and have learnt a lot already. I have a blurb confession, I rarely read them on books. The title and style of cover, plus a read of a random few lines from the pages, convince me to read a book, or not. I think that is why I write my blurbs with as few words as possible so I need to head in the opposite direction to most the blurb advice of cutting it down. That about sums me up, heading in the opposite direction to most.
