• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi there, another newbie here. To be honest, it all looks rather daunting and I’m not sure where I should begin. My name is Pat and, like everyone else here, I love writing. I’m hoping for tips to to improve my skills and looking forward to making contact with friendly voices in the Colony.

Hi Pat, as everyone has said, take your time, look around and dive in where you feel like it. After you've been here a week and posted at least 20 times, you'll get access to the Writing Groups, where the actual critiquing takes place.

Welcome to the Colony! :)
