• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hello everyone!

My name's Claire and I'm a novice writer from Manchester, UK. I've just finished writing my first book in the fantasy genre and I'm attempting to get it published. In the mean time I've found myself drabbling sections of book #2, as I'm apparently incapable of turning my brain off.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know you and learning from your expertise! Any and all help/advice is absolutely welcome.

Welcome to the Colony! :)

There's a fantasy thread here (started by me, I'll admit) that you might be interested in. :)
I've already jumped on your thread. My reading list has expanded exponentially.

Welcome aboard, Claire! We're a friendly and helpful bunch.

My advice is to browse around and start to get involved.
