• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi everyone,

A Kiwi, happily domiciled on a remote island off the coast of Tasmania, I recently become an Australian citizen. Those that know me have sugggested I may still be suffering from the effects of the lobotomy this process entails (i'm joking🤣).

I love writing, and during the course of the last few years I have managed to cobble together a few novels, loosely based on my experiences in China and Central Asia. One is definetely historical fiction, while the other three could best be described as literary. To date, I have done nothing with them except share with friends and family. I understand this is not the best way to seek serious critique.

In a complete change to my writing style, I am currently drafting something best described as "outback noir", having just returned from a solo cycling expedition to the outback (which was horrible... because I don't particularly enjoy cycling😂😂)

I am hoping to meet like minded souls/enthisiasts within Litopia, to share with, and learn from.
