• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Someone restrain Peter, heh-heh.

It was the ghost, Richard, defo, using the cat as her agent. Lemon butter and sugar on mine, plox, which I shall NOT be eating, much as I would like; sob.

Love the feline bling.

I think you're right, KTLN... it seems that the familiar likes King Cake as much as we do! The bling is an old Carnival/Mardi Gras tradition for pre-lenten excesses. IN New Orleans, traditionally, handsfuls of cheap, bright beads are thrown to the crowds from the floats as they pass by on the parade routes. When they reach the Quarter, the tradition seems to be that willing women do things publicly that would be unseemly anywhere else in proper society to get the beads tossed their way, but how the cat got them... I'll never know.

Ishtar? I was once told the seat on Cadair Idris is supposed to be for her. Totally unrelated I know, but the name stuck out (for me anyway) ;)
