• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

The Queen of Bealtaine279455708_10221344557391341_2592360808226513604_n.jpg
Light the fires on Uisneach hill
to purify the driven herd
and preserve the ancient lore.
As May day dawns.
the maiden within the mortal realm
heralds the season of light.
A heady dew from the morning grass,
the lovers in the woods,
rejoice the maypole dancers.
Rowan laid upon the borders,
blessed with waters from the holy well,
hang the ribbon bough above the door.
The hawthorn bush in bloom,
flowers upon the threshold
for the floral fairy queen
