Thank you for the kind words :) It's largely a stamina and numbers game, all this, for sure. If I draw negative cards I still go for a suitable looking sub 8/10; destiny is for a hard pushing sometimes. Same for all of us. Then you've all the people coming out of paid creative writing courses with guest agents brought in. And the already famous people who then decide to write a novel as well, and they are going to sell, whether it's good or bad or mediocre. No wonder agents get snow blind and want safe bets. Over supply, and we all know scum as well as cream gets to sit on top.

We must just do as we feel. The Muse must continue to rule for its own sake, or there'd be no soul in Culture.
