• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

For the last few months I've been totally pre-occupied by planning and executing a solo trip to Iceland - by sea. If anyone is interested I recorded the whole thing (which included the full conversion of a van to a camper) in a blog: Wales to Iceland by Sea

It took me a while to get back into the home rhythm, and I still don't know where to go with writing, but I've decided to take part in Agent Pete's "Pop-up Submissions" on Sunday. It feels a bit like diving off the deep end, but so did Iceland and the Faroes.

Having been absent since January, I feel I owe the community a review or two, so if anyone has a work in progress they would like some comments on, please let me know.
