• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

As a member of Litopia, you have the ability to be notified by email when something significant happens. For example, you can hit the “Watch” button on a thread – or even a whole forum – and choose to be notified when there’s a new post.

You can also choose to be notified when you have a new conversation message. You can control what notifications you receive, and under what circumstances, from your Preferences control panel.

At the moment, the Litopia server is starting to hit its hourly email limit. Once the limit is reached, no further emails will be sent, meaning that some people might not receive notifications they’re expecting.

Can I please encourage everyone to use “Push Notifications” rather than emails. You can enable Push Notifications through the same Preferences control panel.

A Push Notification is simply a little pop-up box that appears in your browser when something happens. It’s much faster than an email, and will not get caught up in your spam filter!

Thanks.
