• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

So used to the hard road
Waking up alone
Sick of feeling sorry
For them
For me
Gotta do better
Wasn't born dumb
Just had to dumb down to get by
But these streets are kicking my ass
I learned how to grow flowers
Study for hours
Without school
Saw my veins collapse
Under the pressure of needles and trying
And raw pain
Gotta do better
Sometimes you just have to sink
Forgive
Take the hits
Sit in darkness
Think
One day I'll make it back to you
One day there'll be a day that's true
For now, I'll take my lessons
No book can teach this
It's all the mistakes
Finally finding someone who cares as much as I do
Gotta do better
