• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

An inspirational story for aspiring writers, set in a time of change. Based on a true story, you will not enjoy this if you don't like the music (and words) of the Boss. I do, and it worked well for me. It's also a parable (?) on how a country sees immigrants - and how immigrants perceive their country of adoption.
