Hi all, delighted to make your acquiantance.

What can I tell you?
I'm UK-based and have been blessed with a sarcastic sense of humour. Used to be a scientist. Used to be a rock musician (in the most minor way imaginable). Used to be the youngest person in the world. Have lived in various countries including Iran. Also a champion procrastinator. These things are not related.

Writers I read: Anne Michaels, Andrew Miller, Donna Tartt, Ovid, Camus, Ondaatje, Eugenides, Gaiman, Philip Pullman, William Trevor, Susanna Clarke...

WIP: Absent from the Photograph, a novel about a couple's failure to communicate and how this isolates them. It's currently at 70k and, ahem, in need of work.
