Litopians! Arise and congregate! There are eight notable writing conferences in February - all in warm climates. UCLA Extension Writers’ Program is sponsoring a series of workshops on fiction, screenplay writing, and creative nonfiction. If you live near Los Angeles, this conference is worth attending. Ditto for San Francisco and San Diego, both of which feature a host of agents, editors, and professional writers to guide you on your way to publication. (If you don't live in California, there are plenty of conferences coming up in the spring.)
