Olive oil lollipops - Yuck
It was 8C here a couple of weeks ago and we have no heating! First up got a fire going in the backyard so we could huddle around it clutching mugs of tea. By 10am the sun was high enough to give some relief and by 1pm it was T shirt time. 8pm on with the socks and jumpers.

Checking my Twitter feed, I found congratulations from several Colony members...which was nice, but I don't know how I've linked my website to Twitter! I've just added the first Art Palmer, post-American Civil War audiobook to ACX.I should add, that Audible pays an author 40% of the cover price. Thus, the first Cornish Detective novel, priced at 18.29 earned me about £124 from 17 sales, while Book 2, at £22.89 (it's longer) pays out £247 for 27 units - a total of £371. Sounds respectable, doesn't it? But, bear in mind that I devoted at least 1,000 hours into creating each audiobook, which gives me an hourly pay rate of just over 7 pence!Holy smoke, I just checked my audiobook sales and they've risen to 48, all without any cohesive promotion (2021's campaign). 27 of them were for my 2nd Cornish Detective novel, which only went live on 27th December.I’ve accidentally swallowed some Scrabble tiles and now I’m experiencing constant vowel movements. The next poop could spell disaster!I’ve become elegant! Suffering with poor blood circulation in my hands (Raynaud’s syndrome) winters in my unheated flat are painful when typing. For £1.79 I acquired a pair of what look like snooker referee’s white cotton gloves from eBay. They’ve got dimpled plastic fingers making them ideal for typing.

I think the driver's view may have been obscured by the A-pillar beside the windscreen, but I was still the only vehicle moving for 200 yards either way. Anyone riding on 2 wheels soon hears "Sorry, mate, I didn't see you."Lucky to still be with you, as I was knocked off my bicycle, when a car came to a rolling stop at a junction, then pulled out into the side of me forcing me onto the verge. No injuries, but 1 pannier bag was ripped off. I swore a bit (!) which made the female driver's partner threaten to beat me up, saying the accident was my fault (?!).
