• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Have a great one, KTLN! Hope the sun is shining in Lancs!:)

Thanks all. Sunny, yes, and daughter out of intensive care yesterday seems to be recovering stability, and ate a tiny something after 7 days unable to eat. 2 single quavers and a glass of milk. Premium nutrition, huh, but if that's what she fancied...ain't about to argue.

Sorry to hear about the intensive care episode. It's easy to complain about the NHS, but they're often pretty good in serious situations -- I hope that was the case this time.

Happy belated birthday. So sorry to hear your daughter was in intensive care! Glad and relieved she is recovering. Hope she gets well very soon. xx

A mixed experience Marc. She discharged herself from the first hospital feeling unsafe there after mix up with plasma after platelets crashed 250-16, and thank goodness that she did. No diagnosis still, but very good care where she currently is, in a specialised haematology unit. The doctor in hospital 2 made a very snappy assessment, and whoever that doctor was, made a good call.

(Now investigating Lepto...she is a vet nurse)
