• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

We’ve discussed robot writers and editors before:

But, developments continue apace to replace us mere mortals:

Booksby.ai is a bookshop entirely created by artificial intelligence

It’s starting to resemble Robot Wars with books created by Artificial Intelligence, adorned with computer-generated covers, to be stocked on cyber bookshelves and reviewed by AI entities.

This sounds amusing, but bear in mind that technology is already being used to help fakers with their plagiarism:

Stop Thief! Writers and Plagiarism - The Book Designer

Presumably, to improve the algorithms for creating their titles Booksby.ai will use existing works written by real people—which might include content from your self-published eBook that they bought from Amazon KDP.

How would you know?
