• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I've been using WritersServices for nine months. It's a useful site, with 4,500 pages of advice. I registered as a user, as it makes it easier to see what articles are new or have been updated.

They offer a variety of paid services, such as editing, reader's report and proof-reading, but their newsletter is free and offers an entertaining overview of the book world.

I've used WritersServices for three reader's reports on novels over the past decade and they provide a good service and are definitely legitimate. It is a helpful website.
