• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence
    • Don't take offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

We’re getting towards the end of our booking schedule for Pop-Ups, and I’m looking to book ahead now for the next six months.

I will be in touch with our existing panel soon, to fix their scheduling. However, there is now an opportunity for new guests to be brought into rotation.

Hopefully, you’re already familiar with the show. I think everyone enjoys appearing. From the writer's point of view, sitting on the receiving end of a submission really does change your mindset!

We will have one Litopian on every show, together with a backup list of Litopians to fill in on weeks when there is no publishing guest.

You must have a decent internet connection and a computer with a camera. The preferred browser is Chrome.

Pop your name down below if you’d like to take part!

also please @AgentPete tell me the process for rescinding my previous submission (i've emailed about it, no response) I have something much better I'd like to submit. I have submission regret!

But @AgentPete I do have a few questions about it. And I think it is beneficial and great to have a variety regarding POP-UP guests. And @Malaika Pete recommends a 3 month hiatus before resubmitting to him again. If it hasn’t been looked at by @AgentPete yet, he can substitute it for your latest version on the day. Just give him enough notice and let him know, mind you, you do get a email notification on the day when it will be looked at during a POP-UPS.

Thanks for that info. I'd be happy to replace the submission with it's (much much handsomer) redraft. When I submitted I didn't realize there was such a long line. So I thought oh this will be fun let's see what the people think of this idea. But since that was a month ago and I kept writing and the story has evolved well beyond that point and now it's like omg don't read that you'll see me in my undies!

My rescue cat attends; just avoid them lying on your keyboard
It's not that I've planned to invite the kitties but I have six and they expect for me to be in attendance when they want to go out or in... they scratch the door down if they see I don't move. Fortunately the door is just next to my desk. However, if I'm lucky, at that time they are probably all out hunting. Smokey, one of the four I fed with a bottle because they didn't have a mum, and the one most attached, usually hangs out behind the computer screen. 3395
