• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

    • Don't give offence

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

On Pop-Ups yesterday that's precisely the question @AgentPete asked his two panelists and they answered admirably.

Then panic struck me - what if an interviewer suddenly asked me that question - what would I say?

Blank, total blank.

So, I thought maybe one or two of you may be in the same boat and to avoid being caught unawares, if someone out of the blue asked you that question, what would you say?

Why not practice here and let us know why you write. Maybe that may also help me sort our my mental doubt as to why I write.

Happy Good Day GIF
