• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I recently bought a copy of Peter Ginna’s What Editors Do: The Art, Craft & Business Of Book Editing

I’d had a watch on it on various websites, but it’s one of those titles that never gets discounted or which becomes available for sale used, so I forked out £15.

Ten pages in it’s worth the money.

Peter Ginna blogs at Dr. Syntax

I read somewhere that people with OCD are attracted to literary jobs such as book editor. It made me wonder if their homes are incredibly neat with everything in exactly the correct place!
