• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

It's only 1500 words a day.
6 pages x 250 words = 1500 words per day. Not as much as it sounds.

His work ethic is really poor. Bit of a slacker if you ask me.
Especially when you consider that, by his own admission, he spent 14 years totally out of it in all the possible ways – alcohol, many/most drugs – and doesn't even recognise some of the books he wrote then.

I've been reading 'On Writing' in the laundrette – washing machine died – and that is one of the more surprising things King says in it.
