• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

    This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

    Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Rejection is a constant irritation, especially for those of us who know we have written something so amazing that it should fly to the top of any bestseller list.

A couple of days ago I read about an author who had received more than 600 rejections before someone saw the commercial potential in his work.

So, if anyone is becoming disheartened because they've just received rejection #27, #79 or even #176, then don't. You've still got a very long way to go before you can consider yourself a complete and utter failure.

@Nmlee That's the one!

@Webbwalker. I think that I can safely say that you will never run out of agents to query. They move around the industry as if they are playing a game of musical chairs and new ones are appearing all the time.
