The RSL International Writers programme 2022 – open to recommendations: We are delighted to be open for recommendations of writers for the second year of RSL International Writers.

Please submit your recommendations, and encourage your colleagues, friends and followers to submit by sharing this information wherever you are able.

To be eligible, recommended writers must:

  • not be resident in, or citizens of, the UK; and
  • have published two substantial works of outstanding literary merit (where works are translated into English, or originally written in English).

Guided by your recommendations, our panel of RSL Fellows led again by Daniel Hahn in its second year, will select the next 12 writers to be appointed RSL International Writers in 2022. The panel includes: Mojisola Adebayo, Nick Barley, Sharmilla Beezmohun, Maureen Freely, Nell Leyshon, Nadifa Mohamed, Daljit Nagra and Katherine Rundell.

How to recommend: Read more and submit recommendations online by 29 April 2022.
