• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Starlings

Lay down in the sand dunes
Lay down amongst the sand
Watch the sun, it's setting now
Come darkness over land

Devastation followed grace
And torment chased the moon

Glory was a moment
Fast fading with the sun
When starlings came in hundreds
And were seen by only one

Beauty was the reason
