• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I think that I've found my favourite hotel in Amsterdam. Hotel No Hotel features extraordinarily themed suites, including Secret Book Case, whose various rooms are hidden behind swinging book cases.

Even better, they have one-way windows, disguised as mirrors or paintings, so one can check if it's safe to come out!

I've been hiding behind books all of my life...

I did the exact same thing when I was ten years old — made a list of all the features my house would include. Among them:
- A super-narrow two-story hallway, with upper-story doors opening onto thin air of the hallway
- Doors opening on an empty brick wall
- Stairs leading up to the ceiling
- A room painted and tiled completely in 1-inch (2.5 cm) black and white checkers, with a single black-and-white-checkered chair in the center
- Windows opening into the adjacent room
- Exterior doors on the walls of upper floors

It was an exciting house. Kind of like the Winchester Mystery House. Only I didn't know about that one yet.

And of course the door opening to a tilted book in a bookshelf. :D

Fab fantasies. I share them. All of them. I also want a cellar with a concealed entrance to a tunnel that leads away from the house and eventually exits through a hollow oak tree. You climb up the inside of the tree to an artfully concealed tree house. It has a small stove for cold days.

Only thing I really wanted in a dream house was a 'Beauty and the Beast' library, I think a lot of us here would agree with that. My bathroom would be decorated like a crime scene; you can get shower curtains and bath mats that are white when dry, but turn red when wet. My kitchen would look like a medieval torture chamber.
Barbie, eat your heart out!

Hahaha... you are actually that excited about these. That's awesome.

How can I not be excited? They make my bathroom into a crime scene. Though my current theme of Texans football is fun, this is way above that. There are few things more awesome than this. :D

Thank you! If you all will excuse me, I've got some online shopping to do.
