• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

I’m pleased to say that an important function that we temporarily lost here in the Colony with a recent software upgrade has now been restored. We can now make certain threads private again. This impacts two of our key functions:

1) Private Huddle Threads
Private threads can once again be posted in the Huddle Hangout for each week’s Huddle. Only those who have registered to attend will be able to view them. To register for a Huddle (free for Full Members) add your name when you see the announcement posted in Café Life.

2) Your Own Projects in The Writing Lab
You can once again make your own Lab projects totally private and invite only those people to it who you choose. Your ability to delete your own Lab project at will has been unaffected.

Any questions, ask here.
