• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

This coming Sunday’s Pop-Up Submissions (August 12th) will be the last until we resume again on September 23rd.

I know it’s rather a long time to be away, but the rest of August is quite difficult, and I’m personally going on hols for the first couple of weeks in September (I’ll still be popping into the Colony, but won’t be able to host the show). Rather than implement a spotty schedule, I think it’s best to have a complete break and re-start with a bang.

Submissions can still be made during that time, and will be processed in the order received, so no slacking :)

Geoff will be our guest Litopian on the first show of the new season, and our guest publisher will be the managing director of a medium-sized and rapidly growing UK publishing house, so lots to look forward to!

I’ll submit to the new season, I’m pretty busy writing a short story at the moment for the writing comp you and redhammer are hosting :)
