• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

I find it strangely disturbing when people specify women/men/black/green/gay/over 40s whatever, in any aspect of our society. This kind of arbitrary line-drawing promotes inequality. There will only be equality when such discrimination is NOT drawn. This is not meant to be incendiary, just common sense.

I'm going to start a publishing company that only prints novels by grumpy 63-year-old White men! Hurray, for me!

Seriously, though, imagine the outcry there'd have been had a male author who challenged the publishing industry to handle books written solely by men.

It's just silly. Even when women couldn't publish they found a way to get published and I'm not sure men writing romances as women is all that new of a thing.
