Hi, Just a shout out movie recommendation. Eggers is a very interesting director and my son, Jack Gassman is in this film. He plays the sword teacher bodyguard to the young Viking prince. He'll be the incredibly good-looking young one. Skaarsgard is of course the incredibly good-looking old one. No lines but pivotal role. This was his breakout. He hopes to be the new master sword choreographer that replaces the guy who did everything from Errol Flynn to Star Wars. Forgive a proud mama.

Of course you're thrilled for him. Well done him, on getting the part. The lines will surely come and I hope he has the BEST time :)

Excellent stuff. :bottle-with-popping-cork: I hope he has a long career ahead of him. It's wonderful that he's able to do what he loves to do.

He did. Filming was in Belfast during lockdown. He had his own trailer. Got to know Skaarsgard and Anya Taylor-Joy pretty well on set. Essentially He is Guildenstern-there was another swordy who played Rosencrantz. But the camera does love him. Always has. So he is lit and positioned more than the other fellow. Having seen it I would say a lot was cut that makes the role misunderstood. There was obviously a conflict between understanding a Viking Hamlet-and selling to the Vikings-adventure market. It needs to be sold as magic realism historically based on Viking religion Hamlet. Looking forward to the directors cut. Hoping that he will get to use all of the swords stuff he filmed. It's obviously set up for a sequel and Skaarsgard is executive producer. He wants to do real Viking sagas from childhood.

Thank you- so true isn't it? I'd rather he be happy than wealthy. They are doing more stunt work in film and TV since he did Northman.

I'm presently training two stunt artists on the trampoline. Working towards their stunt exam. One has now got accepted into a Stunt Academy in Norway for next year.

In Ireland they have to pass 3 required skills, I think. They have archery, sword, riding and then have done fire and thinking of diving. For Northman Jack wasn't qualified yet so he was classed as actor for the pay scale. The stuntys got more.:p

The trailer looks very violent. I couldn't watch The Last Kingdom because that was too violent for me.

I see they have released it ready for Taurus time. Very suitable for a Green Man story. Which essentially, it is.

I'm OK as long as there's no rape. Too much of a personal trigger. Consenting warriors stabbing each other in battle is fine by me. Before I watch the trailer, is there any rape in it?

Not in the trailer, but that's a concern of mine too.
