• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Where to start? I am a published comic book writer who has been trying to get a TV pilot picked up for several years. I was really close when an actress was interested in championing it, but interest waned when she realized she had no idea how to be a producer. Fast forward to now. That same TV pilot has become my debut novel. My main goal here is to find critique partners and/or beta readers. I am so open to swapping or sharing chapters back and forth. I wish to be traditionally published and to find an amazing agent. Wishes are not delusional, correct? I am not averse to hard work.

Just looking for some literary friends.

Hi Steven,

Welcome to Litopia. I hope you're settling in and finding your way around.

You're in the right place for sharing critiques, as well as discussions about all things writing related.
If you haven't already, check out How to Use the Lab to find out how critiquing on Litopia works.

See you around the Colony,
Rachel :)
