• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I am the author of a new children’s novel based in a magical fantasy world. I’ve even been brave enough to submit my opening for discussion at the pop-up.
Here’s hoping 2018 is the year my whole will light up when I see it in print.

“No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.”

Thanks for your welcomes looking forward to sharing writing tips.

Hi Gully. Welcome. And I like that quote you added to your intro. I might just write that on a sticky note and put it on my fridge.

OK, I could swear I posted a "Welcome" here when I did so on @Louise's posto_O

Anyway: Welcome, lol

Sleep deprivation: its a hell of drug:confused:

Welcome Gully - seems like we're on the same journey, so here's to 2018 delivering both of us an agent!

Good luck with the agent hunt. Remember, they’re out there and always looking for new talent.

Welcome aboard, Gully! Good luck with the agent search... why not approach publishers directly? We all want a traditional publishing deal, but it's an unrealistic expectation at this point. But, hey, you may be the next 'big' thing, so feel free to ignore me!
