Welcome… I’m New Here! May the Fourth Be With You… Always

Nerd Alert. I happen to be at one of the pre-release screenings of Star Wars first movie. They were screening them near colleges for feedback. Star Wars, with its compelling story telling, has always had a place in my heart.

You’d think I’d be writing sci-fi, but got a story more in the contemporary romance genre. I lived on a boat for a number of years, which is an interesting setting with quirky folk living and working there.

I have a fish-out-of-water story about a woman who decides to go live on her deceased husband’s project boat for financial reasons. Her plan is to finish fixing it up, with the help of her flakey brother, and sell it. When she moves on board, she meets the handsome Harbor Master and the shenanigans begin.

I came here to Litopia because my family is tired of me talking about this story. They don’t think I’ll finish it, ignoring the fact that I retired from writing and editing books in another genre they didn’t read. My partner is very supportive of anything I do, but we moved and I haven’t met any writers or joined writing groups around me yet.

This looks like an interesting place with interesting people. I’m looking forward to interacting.
