This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

I enjoyed this. Had lots of levels to get into.

This was my favourite film of last year in the end. It reminded me of watching Fight Club in the cinema - in that it felt angry and important, dangerous even. It might not be huge on subtlety and obviously wears a lot influences on its sleeve, but it’s a huge central performance and I thought De Niro was great too. For a Joker film (sort of) it actually didn’t need Batman.

Casting another dissenting vote.

Just seemed this started out with the guy already psychotic and he just got worse. There was just no depth or subtlety to the story and I felt the same about Phoenix's performance. Yes, he played mad really well, but it was really pretty much a one-note performance, lacking any sort of complexity.

For me, this was one of the most over-rated films of the year.
