I actually said something similar to a male literary gathering. OMG the vapors. The "Listen here, YOUNG LADY's" I stand by it. All great literature is gossip based. What else is Madame Bovery? Pride and Prejudice? War and Peace? Even something like Catch 22 boils down to scuttlebutt. For a reporter, fiction is all the news NOT fit to print.
