• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Steven Pressfield is the writer of 'Gates of Fire'; a novel about the Spartans at Thermopylae, and 'The Legend of Bagger Vance', in which golfing heals souls and invokes the supernatural. 'The Legend of Bagger Vance' was made into a movie (clips here)

Here in his regular Wednesday blog posting, he talks about the give and take of cadging and schmoozing, and stopping short of shameless.

Watch the clip following the trailer. 'There's that perfect shot out there, waiting to find each and every one of us. We gotta get out of its way and let it choose us. THAT is our authentic swing.'
