Skip to 14:18. It makes sense that your physical fight or flight response gets in the way of being objective. If you understand the psychological model of adult , parent, child it is the challenge of staying in adult. Since a lot of writing comes from the child within all of us, the fountainhead of creativity, feedback can slice into old wounds and we can respond as we did to criticism/punishment as a child.
