I love it! Native English speakers don't know how lucky they are. A verb in Italian can change 108 times- in English 4: present (infinite), past, past participle and the continuous form (ing). If someone really wants to be picky and count the addition of the s on the 3rd person singular in the present, then that makes it 5... but no more and certainly nowhere near 108.

And Russian doesn't even bother with "the" or "a/n".

There are no articles in Russian language.

Except статьи which is Russian for articles (newspaper variety).

I studied Russian, @KateESal – those datives and accusatives did for me. After I handed in a particularly appalling piece of homework, my poor teacher told me, in front of the whole class, that it was only a fear of hitting the front page of the national newspapers that stopped her from coming over and smacking my head against the back of the classroom wall. Ah. Those were the days.
