I don't know if anyone here knew David (Rogers, Coleridge & White), but he was the one who fanned the flames and made me want to impress him with my writing. He will be sorely missed.
My fondest memory of him was the way he (a complete stranger) stepped in to prevent my ex-husband from following me home.
