Yes, it's an odd story.
I generally refuse to send ms electronically to third parties (producers etc) because they're so darn slippery. A physical book has a degree of copy-protection, a .docx file none.

How strange. It's like stealing standing timber in the hope of making money selling furniture. Yeah, eventually it might be worth something (if they're lucky), but the hard work has just started.
