This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Publisher Pan Macmillan today announced it has signed a further 20-book contract with Danielle Steel.

Steel has written more than 200 novels 'with sales well over one billion copies', according to Pan Macmillan. She is currently publishing seven first-format titles a year; her most recent book is Resurrection.

Steel has also written 17 children’s books, poetry and four works of non-fiction. She is agented by Caroline Michel at Peters Fraser & Dunlop Literary Agency and Kenneth Weinrib of Franklin Weinrib Rudell + Vassallo LLP.

She's definitely a rock star in the writing world. Too bad I don't like her books... LOL! Granted, I have only ever tried reading a few of her 200+ titles. But it's one of the glorious things about art--you can't please everyone. She's obviously found her tribe and done very well by them. More power to her!
