• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Looks good to me.

Let’s be honest, most writers would rather be writing than handling marketing and promotion. This webinar, part of our Business Bootcamps for Writers and Money Matters series, will explore the importance of and strategies behind successful book launches and tours.
Erin Lowry (author, Broke Millennial series) moderates this chat with Kwame Mbalia, New York Times bestselling author of the Tristan Strong series and editor of Black Boy Joy, and Chelsea Fagan, founder of The Financial Diet media company and author of A Perfect Vintage and The Financial Diet.
A Q&A will follow the presentation; you can pre-submit a question when registering for the event. A recording will be made available for those who cannot attend live.
The event will take place via Zoom with automatic closed captioning. To request any other accessibility features, please email support@authorsguild.org and we will make every effort to accommodate.
