• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend a good web designer for an author website that's good value for money?
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim,

Most of us do our own. You have to decide what kind of thing you're looking for. You can go with domain names or no domain names, with paid packages or free. There are a million different ways of doing it. I have used Wix, go daddy, vista print and others. All equally good, all different levels of site (I set up websites for several riding schools I taught at among other things. Most of them used Vista Print. Go Daddy is good but can be a little complicated. Wix is by far the easiest of the bunch.

Thanks Karen, I've heard Wix is a good one to try. I'll check it out.
All the best.
