I've always wanted to know how auctions work in publishing through an agent. It's nice to learn it from an author's perspective. Laure explains it in her classy way. The self-doubt rings true with me here.

Sorry I spelt her name wrong in the thread title. I corrected it in the post but unfortunately didn't realise her spelling is slightly different to the English one. It should read Laure. She is of French origin which explains the spelling discrepancy.

She explains that the self-doubt aspect is necessary, so you don't become a massive d*ck.
