Thanks for asking! It's me trying to be MR James. Victorian brutality and Jamaican darkness catch up with late 20th century schoolboys in an English winter; slave-grown cane once brought wealth, but at what cost? Some ghosts feed on lost souls, some boys are lost from birth. Imagery partly inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy, story inspired by a mish-mash of various true events.
