Self-Publishing Amazing hardback books

Hi all,

I keep seeing authors on X showing off (rightfully so) their amazing hardback books. They have fantastic artwork, embossed covers, gilded pages... The whole nine.

How do they do that? What are the steps to making such a work of art?
You can't do anything like that with KDP.

I know my books are a little ways away from needing this, but one day id love to produce an amazing hardcover copy of them to this sort of standard.

Does anyone know where to even start?
