I know what you mean, but I was delighted when someone said they didn't hear 'me' when they read my thing; they only heard Sunny, the MC.
 
Great writers can speak with voices that are not their own, although have been created by them. People like me have to try their best to make their own voice worth listening to ;)
 
Er...in the bath? It's when it flows out of me best. But in the interest of science I'm going to have a few and report back. When sober.
