• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

"Ageing is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been."

Love this! I think ageing is underrated in modern society. I'm constantly in awe of the things I do without thinking now that I wouldn't have dreamed of doing in my 20s, 30s, or even 40s. Yes, I have more physical limitations than I did in my youth, but they simply encourage creativity. I have always aspired to the wisdom of my grandfather--makes getting older (and wiser) a joy because it is a goal to reach for. And to reach my grandfather's level, I've needed to have so many life experiences, it's meant a fabulous journey so far with plenty adventure to come!
