Take care, thinking of you, Rachel.
How is he? Hugs to you.
Feeling sorry for himself and quite scared. He just turned 71 and his dad died at 73 from a stroke. But this was a mini one, but there is some scarring on the brain, so more tests tomorrow. But our car's broken down so I had to get a friend to come and fetch me (an hour each way), and he has no phone with him. So tomorrow will be logistically interesting. Knackered now
I take it he's still in hospital? Prob the best place for him right now. Hope you can get some rest.
Oh Rachel, that's hard for you. I won't wish you luck – it seems too trite for something so important. But I wish you and your husband well. Sending you love and hope you manage to get some sleep.

Very best wishes to both of you.
Wishing him a full recovery; please take care of yourself, too.
I'm so sorry. Best wishes to both of you.
Sorry to hear. I hope you're both okay.
Rachel, I'm so very sorry to hear this
Sending you both the best of wishes
Thank God he's okay
Very scary stuff! I'm glad it was only a mini one. Wishing he recovers all he can and the family is coping xx r
Yeah I think he's OK. There is some scarring or damage to the brain. But as I told the neurologist, I wasn't even sure he had a brain to begin with...
So sorry to hear this!
Recovery is possible. I had a mini-stroke in 1995, after what had been the most stressful year of my life in which I lost everything. After-effects included problems writing when I'd miss out letters without realising it. I improved this by copying out tedious non-fiction works, including car workshop manuals.
Depression creeps up on stroke survivors, so be watchful for that. I lost four years of my life to depression, which might have been shorter had I asked to see a counsellor.
He's depressed anyway. But yes I'll keep extra vigilant
That is sad news. I wish you both all the best
My wife suffered a minor stroke three years ago. Fortunately, she is fine but she is on pills for the rest of her life.
Pills we can live with! Thanks for telling me this.
