After a morning of beach, swimming and general larking about, a lazy Friday afternoon beckons before more swimming then a family BBQ. Now on the verandah, munching away on monkey nuts & olives whilst sipping a tonic water before head down time and some first draft fun and frolics.
Sunday night. Day spent at the beach with the family. Then dinner featuring freshly caught crab and assorted shell-fish. Now on the veranda, a mug of Builders on hand along with John Martyn to help me indulge in an hour or so of first draft mayhem. Had worse days.
Editing, redrafting and generally knocking shit into shape whilst listening to Level 42, taking me back to my teenage years, trying to persuade a variety of young ladies to snog me. Happy days!
Grabbing a cheeky 30 minutes to work on the usual, whilst being serenaded by Francis Albert Sinatra & Antônio Carlos Jobim. And all from 1967. Time travel is amazing.
Listening to Tom Waits. Always makes me want to be at the wheel of a powerful car that has seen better days, with a boot full of contraband, whilst blasting along in the early hours on some Mitteleuropa autobahn with one eye permanently fixed on the rear view mirror
Editing/redrafting, listening to Spotify and supping tea. Works for me!
Almost busted after Christmas day but still munching on a slice of my Aunt Aggie's legendary fruit cake. Everybody needs an Aunty Aggie.
Commenced part 2 of the WIP after a little hiatus. A tad ring-rusty, even after only 3 weeks away from the keyboard but it is progress.
