I'm back. Still querying Paige 99, but starting to write again, with my old fervor...
Finally back in it - sent a batch of new queries this weekend, with rewritten chapters and a new approach. Why does my stomach hurt now?
Finally finished full rewrite of 1st 4 chapters per @AgentPete Pop-up feedback last August, time to start submissions again! Wish me luck...

Finished 1st draft of opening story for new WIP this morning. Just saw Pop-up Submissions notice, Paige 99 will definitely be going in.
Finally replaced the old Vista-tainted laptop with a shiny new Dell. Time to rise from the dead.
Had blessed eureka moments yesterday, broke through my stall. I'm blazing to the end of the first brother/sister demon hunters installment.

Third rejection, but I've started the sequel. Outlined 7 chapters, started #2, had eurekas for opening line of #1 and several intense scenes
I had a "platform", but my old no-sleep habits nearly killed me. I let it die instead. I have to reboot it. I forgot how much work that is.

I finally did it, sent my first round of queries to my top 5 yesterday.
Called all my beta readers together last night, over craft beers and eats. I fear they may lynch me if I don't start querying. Good job, me!

October 4, 4:24 pm EST. The last edit, "apartment" changed to "safehouse condo", went in. Paige 99 is finally done and going off to betas.
Finished the final round of edits, have to type them all in now. Almost time for betas, and I'm freaking out - six years of work... zoiks!
Entered my first contest since my teenage years...creative flash non-fiction...hopes aren't high to win, but maybe at least published...
Final round of edits in progress... ...betas chomping at the bit... ...querying by Fall? My, oh my, this might actually happen.
Back to work from a short stay in Mississippi. There's so much more personality and history there than in my neck of the woods... ...sigh...
I sketched the layout of the lab on my lunch today... ...solved my "dangling the bad man from a catwalk, where?" problem... Almost there!
